Peter takes a moment to recall the events of his life including Walter and Olivia, and then steps into the machine.

In the prime universe, the doomsday machine creates numerous static lightning storms up the eastern seaboard. As Walter and Astrid see to Peter’s recovery after his failed attempt to enter the machine, Olivia takes Sam Weiss to the machine. Weiss states that the machine is not meant to be a doomsday device, the strange effects a byproduct of machine’s “frustration” believing that Peter is already inside the machine. Weiss suggests finding a proverbial “crowbar” that can be used to break the shield protecting the device to give Peter enough time to enter it. As Olivia travels with Weiss to collect a box and the key containing this crowbar, Weiss explains that he descends from a family of Weiss’s that found the incomplete collection of information on the First People and the device, and have sought to try to find the rest. Upon collecting both the box and key, they open it to find a parchment, revealing that Olivia is the crowbar.

Meanwhile, Walter and Astrid determine that most of the effects of the device are occurring in the areas between Massachusetts–where the device is stored in the prime universe–and Liberty Island in the parallel universe, aligned like iron filings around the ends of a magnet. Walter convinces Broyles to move the device to Liberty Island to reduce the area affected by the strange events. During this time, Peter wakes with confused memories and leaves the hospital, travelling to a location in New York City and buying a silver dollar coin from a pawn shop.

Olivia and Weiss bring the parchment to Walter, who recognizes that Olivia’s telekinetic powers must be used to turn off the machine in the parallel universe. To prepare Olivia, they use the quantum entangled Selectric typewriter that the shapeshifters had used to contact the parallel universe. Olivia struggles with trying to activate the typewriter without success, even with Walter’s support. Peter is soon discovered in New York, about the same time that the machine has been moved into position. Walter and Olivia rejoin him, finding him confused and believing himself to be in the parallel universe. Peter eventually comes to his senses. Astrid calls the trio from the lab, revealing that the typewriter is typing out “Be a better man than your father”, a phrase that Olivia had tried earlier, assuring that Olivia can disengage the parallel universe’s device. After doing so, Peter takes a moment to recall the events of his life including Walter and Olivia, and then steps into the machine.

Peter wakes up on a war-torn street in New York City. He finds himself in the future, facing the completed One World Trade Center, dedicated in 2021 to the victims of the September 11 attacks, but falls wounded into the arms of an officer of the militarized Fringe division.

PLOT

Over in the alternate universe, Walternate and evilBrandon have devised a method of turning on “the machine” using DNA extracted from Fauxlivia’s child. There plan has not gone unnoticed, however, as the machine is emitting enough abnormal signals to set off the highest alert for the Fringe Team. They arrive on site at Liberty Island, but are sent home by Walternate. It’s enough for Fauxlivia to realize that Walternate has turned on his doomsday device and she confronts him about it. He lectures her about ethics, and then sends her on her way. Fauxlivia decides that Peter is the only one who can stop Walternate’s plan (or maybe she just wants him with her in the surviving universe), so she sneaks onto Liberty Island. She confronts evilBrandon and has him show her how to cross over into our universe (because apparently she forgot how she did it last time). He gives her a canister to use — but it doesn’t work (faulty? Or was evilBrandon lying?) — and she is captured and locked up in one of the cells used earlier in the season to house the real Olivia.

In our world, Nina frantically calls Agent Broyles to inform him that our version of “the machine” has turned on all by itself. Walter realizes that this means that Walternate must have turned on hismachine, which caused the one in our universe to switch because of “quantum entanglement”. Peter decides that because the machine is keyed to him, he has the best chance of switching if off. Unfortunately, as he tries to touch the machine, it sends him crashing across the room, unconscious. As the episode ends, he remains comatose.

Because of the activation of the machine (or machines), strange things have been happening in our universe. A dimensional vortex appears and destroys a large swath of farmland, including two ranchers and large herd of sheep. There’s radio interference and swarms of locusts. A strange aurora appears in the skies at night.

Sam, the strange bowling alley proprietor who has some connection to the First People, realizes something bad is going on. He disappears and Olivia spends most of the episode trying to track him down, only to have him show up on her doorstep at the end telling her he needs to see “the machine”.

On the other side, Fauxlivia wanted to fix things therefore wanted to go back to our universe.

Walter’s prayer for his crime against God is superb as he wanted to suffer for the redemption of the world and spare it for what he have done.

Walter thought that if he is the key to activate it, then he must know how to deactivate it. But that is not what happened after he touched the machine. The machine rejected Peter as if it is protecting itself.

Marijuanaman is the brainchild of Ziggy Marley, writer Joe Casey and artist Jim Mahfood.

Marijuanaman debuts this week from Image Comics, the brainchild of singer Ziggy Marley, with assistance by writer Joe Casey and artist Jim Mahfood. MTV Geek caught up with Marley recently at WonderCon and chatted with him about his first comic book project:

“He’s (Marijuanaman) up against an evil pharmaceutical company and their villain Cash Money, and they have this whole battle because the pharmaceutical company wants to keep selling the artifical stuff and the eco-guys want to use he natural stuff…but he’s just a superhero just like Superman and any of those guys. His powers come from a plant.”

Marley had praise for his fellow talents on the project, saying of Mahfood’s work: “I really love his art…it’s deep, it’s deeper than just drawing figures.” As for Casey, Marley first ran into his work in a very interesting way:

“One day I was reading a comic with Superman and Batman, and I saw this dialogue that had some lyrics from my father, and I was like, ‘who wrote this?’ So I flipped back to the front and Joe Casey’s name was on it; and so I said he must be the right guy, because he understood the philosophy.”

The samurai story by Nobuhiro Watsuki originally debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994 will get a new anime series soon.

The widely popular franchise Rurouni Kenshin will get a new anime, according to the June issue of Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine. This is a busy time for Rurouni Kenshin fans, as Blu-rays of the first two OVAs and the feature film are scheduled to hit stores between August and October — as well as a new PSP game, Rurouni Kenshin, Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Saisen, which is already in stores.

The samurai story by Nobuhiro Watsuki originally debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994; Viz Media is the North American publisher of the manga. More information about the new anime will be published in future issues of Jump Square magazine.

Moments before the accident heading his way home, AJ Perez managed to tweet his followers.

AJ Perez died 12:20am of April 17 due to multiple head injuries when their van collided with a truck and a bus, going back home from a show in Dagupan.

Perez gained popularity when he starred in TV Patrol’s pre-programming, Sabel with Jessy Mendiola and also part of the boy group Gigger Boys.

“Galing ng Dagupan, pauwi na. Tulog lahat sa van. Sa Tarlac, biglang bumangga sa trak. Bago pa nadala si AJ Perez sa ospital, wala nang buhay,” said Diaz in his Twitter account.

Ogie Diaz also tweeted that the truck crashed on the side where Perezs head is located.

“Nasa isang clinic sa Paniqui, Tarlac ang mga labi ni AJ Perez. Kausap ko si Daddy kanina, iyak nang iyak. Ndi ako makakatulog nito,” added Diaz.

Not a fan though, but as one of the  fast-rising stars of ABS-CBN, everything came so sudden. It can be recalled that another fast-rising star of ABS, Rico Yan, died during Holy Week.
